Welcome back-for those of you who enjoyed last week’s “Special” installment, we’ve got even more learning and fun this Thursday.  Just like “Blossom”.   Who’s ready to laugh, cry and learn all over again?

#25 Virginia Tech (5-2, 3-1) at Pitt (5-2, 3-1), 7 p.m., ESPN.  The Hokies can clinch bowl eligibility in October-and before you get all blase on us, remember the Hokies needed a Thanksgiving week victory over Virginia to punch its postseason ticket.  This matchup of former Big East foes is even better than last week’s Hokies-Hurricanes affair was…simply because both are legitimate contenders in the Coastal Division.  Each stands one half game behind North Carolina…and while the Hokies routed the Tar Heels in Chapel Hill the Panthers fell to UNC in a shootout.  It’s the 40th anniversary of Tony Dorsett’s run to the Heisman Trophy, and Pitt is doing what it can to rekindle that season.  They rank 2nd in the ACC in rushing and lead the conference in stopping the run.  Defending the pass–not so much.  And that’s where the Hokies have made strides this fall with Jerod Evans at quarterback (the team is 2nd in the ACC in passing efficiency).

Hokies hang on, 21-20.
